The Integrated Body Returns Back to Broad Ripple
Broad Ripple is glad to have The Integrated Body Pilates Studio and the Alexander Technique back! Some people just knew we belonged back in "da Hood"! We are loving the space once again. As the saying goes, You don't know what you got till it's gone and how true it is.
Idrienne is offering all of her current students a half price discount to bring a friend and the friend get's a half price Introductory Lesson. Just this week, one of the students brought a friend who now states, "she hasn't felt this good in years!" That is worth everything to me who personally loves to see that transformation and awareness of the integral link of the mind and body happen so quickly in Pilates.
Those that delve deep can touch that place inside oneself to feel connected again and that fills us with that renewed engery!
So great to be back in the part of town where I am in the zone!

Welcoming back the Pilates Devotees!
Once you are introduced to the Pilates Method, the body does not forget. The Muscles have a memory of their own. Today it was wonderful seeing Mary, who took a hiatus from the studio to recover from knee surgery. Well watching her, you would never believe she had left !
I receive such joy from those students who return and I realize the history we share all because of Pilates. Mary started at my house about 14 years ago right before I opened the first Pilates studio in town. What fun to watch her execute Climb A Tree as if she had never left! And to hear her say her infamous "Jeeze Louise" which of course brings a chuckle with a big smile.
The body remembers - once you do Pilates for awhile your body and mind will always lead you back to what feels good!

come and thaw out at The Integrated Body
It is important to keep moving despite the tendency to want to hibernate during these cold, snowy days of winter. I admire my threesome that came to their Pilates session despite the icey treacherous roads. We had a great lesson and everyone left in good spirits.
The cold weather makes us want to contract and shrink. It really is a hibernation instinct! But let's be strong willed and continue to push forward through the ice and snow to get to those activities that make us feel good.
Live dynamically and move the body in all directions to open up and stand strong!

The Integrated Body moves to the Carmel Arts & Design District!!!
The Integrated Body opened its' door in 2000 as the first Pilates Studio in Indiana. Idrienne came to Indianapolis in 1989 to teach at Butler University's dance department. She had taught Pilates in LA, having had been trained by The Ron Fletcher Studio original staff in 1985. After teaching out of her home while teaching at Butler, Idrienne opened up The Integrated Body. She is excited to be teaching at Renaissance Fine Art & Design in The Carmel Arts & Design District. Idrienne enjoys being surrounded by beautiful art work while teaching the fabulous Art of Pilates!!!!!
